Paint Horses have Always been part of Painted Prairie Farm.  While our focus has expanded over the years, our appreciation for the breed remains unchanged.  We are proud to own quality Paint Horses known for their disposition, athleticism, and beauty and we look forward to raising exceptional foals for years to come.  

Once upon a time we stood and bred a number of fantastic Paint horses.  Then the unthinkable happened, and I started getting.... old!  I could see the day coming when I might not be able to ride as much as I used to...thus the change of focus towards the ponies.  Yet today I still own and adore one Paint mare I lovingly call Invy, but whose real name is Invite Me To Be Lazy.  I bought her at 10 minutes old when she came out without the anticipated Paint coloring, but a clone of her bay dam.  Invy and I are not done showing, and one day she will raise a wonderful foal or two.  For now, she remains my friend, my riding partner and a hold to my past I can't quite give up yet.
